Cuotl server scheduled down time
First off, it was not until yesterday that I realized my Cuotl File Server – and by extension my Vista laptop – has been online for 31 uninterrupted days (and counting). Wow. Normally a windows computer suffers serious meltdowns at around 3 weeks but I haven’t noticed any wonkiness this past month. Take that Vista non-believers.
Unfortunately this record uptime will end this week. I will be upgrading the external hard drive the server is running on this Friday. Due to the shear volume of data this downtime could last the entire weekend.
Please note that the Cuotl File Server is not the server this web site is based on. The BluHelix Studios web site will be unaffected by the upgrade.
Update (11/17): That did not take as long as I feared
