Bluhelix [dot] com
As I said in the previous posting, I have yet another announcement – this time concerning BluHelix Studios.
We have a new address! You may now access this site from http://www.bluhelix.com!
The move to our domain was long overdue. I am still hosting the site from my home. You may be wondering what happened to the port 88 (or port 8080, depending on your preference). I assure you that Verizon still blocks port 80 – Ben and I just implemented some trickery to get around the port number. The result is that the site runs slightly slower than it used to (please contact me if you experience severe slow-down). Things are currently running fairly well for me.
Speaking of trickery, a real challenge has been coming up with ways to run the site from both the trickery-method and normal at the same time. As you’ll notice the site can still be accessed from our old address of http://unknown8063.homeip.net:88/ with few changes.
An important notice: please update your links to http://www.bluhelix.com. Our old addresses will be maintained for some time, but eventually I will be phasing them out. Also I am still tweaking the URL’s various resources on this site are accessed from so be sure to come in from our main page if your bookmark into a more specific location suddenly breaks. I have been putting in redirects, however, to help with this transition.
As always, please contact me if you encounter any problems or discover an error.
